I didn’t want to just drop right in on where we are standing in the middle of the dance floor at Mimi’s and Vanessa<\/a> is belting out “Jones on the jukebox and you on my mind,” and the usual nondescript room is now livened up by the paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling left over from a wedding and the mom and daughter are skimming across the dance floor each taking turns with the stag who lifts his feet in a slight kick back and never misses a beat with his porkpie hat cocked to the side. Vanessa’s voice is sounding opulent tonight having had a rest while she nursed the germs we have all shared one too many times around here. Dave’s base is strumming between two guitars. And I’m feeling like I want to be twirled and I’m dancing with someone who wants to twirl and we’re all just have a fabulous time.<\/p>\n
