I was referring to a colleague the other day who changes her hair so often it made me think she was not to be trusted. I change my hair so many times that people around the neighborhood often tell me they have to look twice to know who I am. The other day I went to get my own son out of his crib and he said, “WIG!” Yesterday at a kid’s birthday party, I stumbled into a conversation with two parents who were saying, “I used to be blonde like him when I was young,” to which I added, “I was blonde last week.”<\/p>\n
A friend had a rescue dog that was obnoxious. She used to attack everyone and my friend would sit with her at a busy coffee shop and have to constantly restrain the dog from biting some. I thought to myself all the time, why are you keeping that dog? This morning I was walking with Loca, she almost attached a little white dog of which she holds them in high prejudice. Later we passed another dog that she for some reason doesn’t want to kill and I said to the woman I don’t know why she likes your little white dog because she is usually not friendly. The woman said I know, I have seen her in action.<\/p>\n
I loathe micromanagers, people who want to manage your life, your relationship, your work. But the other day someone said to me you can’t be empress here, you have to pull in others. I thought is that what I am doing by doing it all myself, controlling the relationship, the work and other people’s life?<\/p>\n
