Krewe du Vieux rolled tonight in between thunderstorms; the first parade, one of my favorites, went unseen as Tin started coughing early this morning and pretty much went to bed this evening coughing. It really is true

Yesterday, we took our guests to see Panorama Jazz Band playing at the Spotted Cat. Tin brought his “trombone” (a drumstick and the xylophone stick) and put on a first class performance. It’s almost worrisome the concentration he has and adoration for certain musicians (he followed Ben Schenck around like a puppy). The Krewe de Loup Garou arrives

The Loup Garou parade arrived about an hour later than dusk but not without a lot of fanfare – it was dark on the bayou with only the streetlights and porch lights reflecting in the water – and each canoe was filled to the brim with musicians.
