It is now 17 days till T comes home but she is finally getting used to another time zone. Her body clock has adopted to Europe. Her taste buds are in Turkish heaven. Little by little her molecules are becoming more there than here. And yet the pelican, who should have left for the north by now, waits in the bayou for her return.
Sitting in my hotel room in New York listening to CNN – so far I’ve learned that airlines are merging because they have to, salmonella has been found in cereal and was in pancake mix, the remedy for school violence is for students to be allowed to carry guns, and that it is 20 degrees cooler across the planet. What a way to start the day!
