My neighbor said, &#8220;He might be on the field one day,&#8221; and I said, &#8220;I&#8217;d rather him sing\u00a0<em>When the Saints Come Marching In<\/em> than be one.&#8221; So I was watching a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deaconjohnsjumpblues.com\/home.htm\" target=\"_blank\">video<\/a> about Deacon John and he said his mother cut his fingernails under a fig tree because there is an old Creole myth that if you do that your child will become a musician.
