I woke this morning to palm trees and a hazy sunrise – must be El Lay. I turned twice in the bed to get my bearings and realized I was not home because there was no Bam Bam, the shim sham man meowing to get out the door, there was no Arlene the Bean skating around the hardwood floors looking for a place to stand, and no sounds of Loca lowing in her kennel and rattling the cage, and absolutely no beautiful creature beside me to wrap my arms around and say Dobro Jutro<\/em>. <\/p>\n
