I heard this statement every place we lived and we lived a lot of place &#8211; countries, cities, states, neighborhoods &#8211; we were always moving and mom was always going to plant a garden. <\/p>\n<p>I bought pentas and some snowwhite euphorbia and red flames to plant in the garden this week. There is not much growing season left. Most plants won&#8217;t have time to mature before the first cold hits. A hurricane could come wipe us away. We could all lose our houses and be forced into the streets.  BUT, so what? Every day these plants will get a little bigger and I will enjoy them along with the butterflies for as long as I can. <\/p>\n<p>Reason number 512 to plant your garden now.
