This from a neighbor: At 12:30 this morning, we were awakened to screams from a younger black woman from Gentilly who had been shot over 5 times and dumped out of a car at Esplanade & N Lopez.  She ran to a neighbors house, then fell on the street in shock. Beautifying the neighborhood

After Katrina, the dome of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church was covered in scaffolding for a few years while they repaired and refurbished the copper cupola. Loca’s lament

Loca has a penchant for eating plush toys – it’s her affliction – and she particularly loves her friend and neighbor, Lucky’s toys. We went to Britex in San Francisco, a fabulous fabric store in Union Square and got felt to fix both the rat and the bunny. Here they are in the recovery room.
